Walks From Kendal Town Hall.

WALKS FROM KENDAL TOWN HALL

Welcome to Walks from Kendal Town Hall where we have a collection of free to access walks starting from the town hall and covering a choice of distances. Whilst the listed walks start from the town centre, and hopefully avoid the necessity of walkers staying in Kendal to use a vehicle, they can also begin from any location on the walks, the two Camping and Caravanning Club sites and the Caravan Club site are all passed beside in at least one walk each and enable a chance to enjoy a wide choice of refreshment in Kendal.

The walks are listed on the right with distances and have the option, at the end of each walk page,  of printing out the details minus the photographs.

Whilst we have detailed the directions you are advised to carry a map with you, and the Ordnance Survey OL7 is a good choice, preferably in the waterproof version. Contrary to popular myth it does not rain here all the time, the fact is that the coated maps last so much longer they really are worth the extra cost.
Kendal positioned only eight miles from junction 36 of the M6 via a dual carriage way can be easily reached and is open in all weathers through the whole year.
Please leave comments on the site, especially if any of the directions are

incorrect or misleading, or to let us know hopefully, that you enjoyed your visit.
